Your first report

A walkthrough from an empty account to a first set of answered disclosures.

This page follows the shortest sensible path through the product. Each step links to the page that covers it in full.

1. Create the report

   Go to Reports and choose Create report. Give it a name, something like "Acme AB FY 2026", then pick the standard version, the main language, and the start and end dates of the reporting period. The version cannot be changed later, so if you are unsure which one applies, check before you continue.

2. Decide what is material

   Open the report and work through the topics. Inside each topic, open the disclosures and set the Material toggle. A disclosure marked not material is greyed out, skipped in your progress count and left out of the published report. Mandatory disclosures cannot be switched off.

3. Share out the work

   Assign a responsible user on each topic or disclosure, so it is clear who owns what. People need at least read access to the report to be assignable. See Users and groups.

4. Answer the data points

   Open a disclosure and work down the questions. Answers save as you go; there is no save button. Use Mark as completed on a data point when it is finished, which locks it against accidental edits and moves your progress bar.

5. Attach the evidence

   For any number that came from somewhere else, open the attachments panel on that data point and upload the source. This is what makes the report reviewable later.

6. Resolve the open questions

   Where something is unclear, start a comment thread on the data point and mention the colleague who knows. Threads stay open until someone resolves them, and unresolved threads count against the disclosure's progress, so nothing quietly falls through.

7. Finalize and publish

   When everything is answered, set the report to Finalised from report settings. This makes it read-only. You can then publish it as a public page and a PDF, or export it to Excel or iXBRL.

Next year
